The Xero and Dropbox integration allows Dropbox users to upload and share documents from their accounts straight into their Xero accounting system. Users will also be allowed to access Dropbox files from within Xero. The partnership is still working together but tons of workflow enhancements are sure to come. A special joint offer for small businesses is also in the works.
As Xero heavily invests in making sure it’s the most user friendly accounting software ever, users will benefit from this partnership the most.
For example, if a user has created a folder inside their Dropbox account dedicated to store copies of their receipts and other expenses, the contents of that folder can now be directly imported into Xero. You will no longer need to ‘zip’ that folder and send it as a link.
This eliminates the need to remember more passwords and usernames, sharing of links to the files etc. As is the case with everything in the cloud, there will never be a need to update a software in your local computer. With Dropbox and Xero, it all becomes direct and intuitive – the way your bookkeeping system should be.
